International students are not covered by the Ontario government public health plan (OHIP). LPSI has partnered with StudyInsured International to provide all students with medical insurance. The medical insurance plan offers a wide and robust range of benefits and services, to cover international students for their entire period of study.

How Your Insurance Works (For Students)

Your StudyInsured plan covers you while you are studying in Canada. Here’s how to use it:

If you feel sick or get hurt

Visit a walk-in clinic, doctor, or hospital. Bring your StudyInsured card (digital or physical).

The clinic bills the insurance

Most clinics will bill StudyInsured directly. If they don’t, you can pay and submit the receipt online for reimbursement.

What’s covered

Your plan covers most common medical needs, including:

• Doctor visits
• Hospital care
• Prescriptions
• Emergency services

What’s usually not covered

Cosmetic procedures, travel vaccines, or dental care (unless it’s an emergency).
