I’d say others should stay here because the community is fairly small with a smaller amount of exchange students. This makes it easier to make Canadian friends because there isn’t an overwhelming number of internationals. Furthermore, there is a variety of courses offered and there are a lot of teams for sports and because the community is smaller, you can make it through the tryouts. My favorite things here are definitely the people I met and the friends I made. Furthermore, I enjoyed the winter sports I was able to do here; skiing, skating, snowshoeing. Although my experience with my first host family didn’t work out, I was able to change families quickly and easily. I’m having a really good time with my new host family and I feel much more comfortable! Ones relationship with the host family really defines how one experiences their time spent here and I am happy how it worked out. This spring I was able to join track and field and had good time with my coaches and in practice. During my time here I learned a lot about who I am and how I want to be later in life. My time here certainly has been insightful and let me grow as a person.
